Penni M. Russo-Going, M.D.

Dr. Penni M. Russo-Going was raised in Houston, Texas, and knew at a very young age that she wanted to become a doctor. She graduated from Bellaire High School and then attended Baylor University where she graduated with honors. Dr. Russo-Going attended medical school at The University of Texas Houston Health Science Center. She continued her surgical education at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston, Texas where she was the recipient of the Resident of the Year Award as well as the Rusty Ellis Excellence in Leadership Award.

In July 2005, Dr. Russo-Going joined Northwest Houston Surgical Association to work with Drs. Ayyar and Leiva, both of whom were contributors to her surgical training program during residency. As part of this busy surgical practice, she sees and treats patients at Memorial Northwest Hospital, Memorial City Hospital, Methodist Willowbrook Hospital and North Cypress Medical Center. Dr. Russo-Going enjoys all types of general surgery with special interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery and breast surgery.

Dr. Russo-Going resides in Houston with her husband Bill. They are fortunate to spend time with their extended family. Dr. Russo-Going is also interested in fitness in her spare time.
